Law Enforcement: "You're On Your Own"

In their latest story, James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas takes a look at law enforcement’s advice for what to do while you’re in a bad situation and waiting for law enforcement to show up.

“You’re on your own,” is the message.

Publicly, many law enforcement officials can be quite outspoken against private gun ownership and notions of self defense. Privately, law enforcement’s attitudes are clear. The cops can’t always be there. Sometimes, you’re going to have to defend yourself. That’s a lot easier when you have a gun.

Some law enforcement agents, such as Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, are bold enough to say that publicly, though these days Sheriff Clark is being called an “Uncle Tom” (among other racial expletives) for his efforts.
