It’s the good news and the bad news for the Nebraska Democratic Party.

The good news: According to sources, Attorney David Domina is expected to announce his bid for the U.S. Senate in Norfolk on Tuesday.

David Domina

The bad news: Domina is not running for the House.

Domina’s been looking at the Senate race for several months but in late December his name also surfaced as a “possible” for Republican Rep. Lee Terry’s seat.

It’s generally believed that the House race is far more winnable than the Senate.

Domina would be the first Democrat in the Senate race, four Republicans are already running.

There’s still no Democrat in the 2nd Congressional District race.
