Texas hosts bipartisan NSCW celebration
A Texas National School Choice Week celebration brought together lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.
“You want children to get to a place of excellence, and you want America to continue her competitiveness. How do you do it? You bring forth the next generation of educated persons,” said Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat.
Sen. Ted Cruz also attended.
“Every parent in America loves their kids, and we ought to come together with a shared vision that if we improve the hope and the opportunity for every child, America will be strong,” he said.
