Sentencing mess pushes talk of new prison construction

A new prison with anywhere from 250-500 more beds is now overdue, State Sen. Brad Ashford—

Ashford’s comment—not what Gov. Dave Heineman wants to hear— comes as police and prosecutors are looking to round up some 25 inmates mistakenly released from prison; 257 others won’t be returned to their cells.
