Do you store stuff in your garage?

Get on your knees. Hands behind your head. You have the right to remain silent.

Hopefully, no one actually gets arrested for this type of “law breaking,” but in San Francisco, you could be fined up to $500 for storing something other than your car in your garage, according to a report from the Institute for Justice.

Chapter 6 of the San Francisco Housing Code says, “Private and public storage garages in apartment houses and hotels shall be used only for storage of automobiles.”
