North Dakota Portion of WWII Memorial Vandalized With #NoDAPL Graffiti

Apparently a group of teachers visiting the World War II memorial in Washington D.C. yesterday were greeted with #NoDAPL graffiti on the portion of the memorial dedicated to their home state:

MyNDNow.com has more. The photo was taken by a teacher in Washington with her students. This graffiti was seen by a group of teachers. Apparently the students weren’t along on that particular portion of the trip.

This is so unfortunate, and so unnecessary, and so beyond anything having to do with a pipeline.

UPDATE: Just got this press release in from the National Parks Service, by way of Congressman Kevin Cramer’s office. They confirm the graffiti, note that they’re working on removing it, and say the matter is under investigation:
