Rumors I’m hearing from credible sources say Vice President Mike Pence will be in Fargo on March 27 campaigning for Congressman Kevin Cramer.
Republican officials aren’t confirming it yet, but they also aren’t denying it.
Local Republicans directed me to the National Republican Senatorial Committee for comment. I reached out to Katie Martin, communications director for the NRSC to confirm the visit.
“I unfortunately cannot at this point but will let you know if I can,” Martin told me in an email.
I’ll update this post with more information when it’s available.
The Trump administration has a big interest in North Dakota’s Senate race. Congressman Kevin Cramer, who is challenging incumbent Democratic Senator Heidi Heitkamp in a high-profile matchup, was an early supporter of Trump’s presidential bid.
