Mike Nowatzki breaks the news on Twitter:

Cruz will apparently speak at 1pm on Saturday. Trump surrogate Ben Carson is scheduled to speak the next day on Sunday morning.

On Monday I wrote about the Cruz campaign calling delegates to the NDGOP state convention, looking to identify who might become one of the state’s more than two dozen national delegates.

North Dakota did not have a caucus, or a primary, and thus the state’s delegates to the Republican national convention will be unbound.

Cruz’s visit to North Dakota is no doubt a bid to appeal to those delegates ahead of a national convention which could be very, very interesting.
