Ed Schultz Goes To Work For Russian Propaganda Network

As you can see from the video above, former Fargo talk radio host and MSNBC talking head Ed Schultz has gone to work for RT Television.

Who or what is RT Television? It’s Russian controlled media propaganda, to put it simply. They work in conspiracy theories, for one thing. In 2009 James Kirchick, writing for The New Republic, accused the network of “often virulent anti-Americanism, worshipful portrayal of Russian leaders, and comical production values.”

And RT television is often used as a weapon against Russia’s energy competitors. Russia’s energy industry is largely state-owned, and the country isn’t afraid to use its state-owned media to attack energy development here in America and elsewhere.

Back in 2014, a RT Television news anchor quit saying she no longer wanted to be a tool for the Putin regime:

Another member of state-funded Russia Today made waves on Wednesday — not by standing behind Moscow, as the news network is wont to do, but by bucking it.

From the anchor chair, Liz Wahl closed a show — as seen in video which she later tweeted — talking about the “ethical and moral challenges” she faces working for Russia Today, also known as RT. She spoke of being from a family who fled to America to escape Soviet forces during the 1956 Hungarian revolution, being the daughter of a U.S. military veteran and being the partner of a physician who works at a U.S. military base.

“And that is why, personally, I cannot be part of a network funded by the Russian government that whitewashes the actions of Putin,” Wahl said, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I’m proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth,” she added. “And that is why, after this newscast, I’m resigning.”

She’s resigning, but Ed Schultz is signing up!

Guess he really, really needed the job. And heck, if there’s one thing Ed Schultz is good at, it’s being a toady for whatever interests are backing him.
