Cramer/Heitkamp Senate Race Debate Has Been Canceled

Rep. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., left, Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., and Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., share a light moment on statge during a question and answer session during the Lignite Energy Council's annual meeting at the Bismarck Event Center on Thursday. 4-5-2018

This from the AARP which is sponsoring the debate which would have been broadcast by Prairie Public Television:

I’m guessing the votes are related to Kavanaugh, meaning it was Heitkamp who had to cancel (Cramer, a member of the House, obviously wouldn’t be casting a Senate confirmation vote).

And can’t blame Heitkamp for canceling. That’s her job. Still, what a nightmare this process has been for her campaign. What with the ugly polling news out this week Heitkamp conceivably could have used the debate to shift the narrative and perhaps get momentum going back in her direction.

But now, not so much.
