Come See Me In Bismarck This Week At Chamber Of Commerce Policy Summit

0

The folks at the Greater North Dakota Chamber of Commerce were kind enough to extend an invitation for me to participate in their policy summit this week.

The event will take place on Wednesday this week – August 13th – from 10:00am to 5:00pm at the Radisson Hotel in Bismarck. It will consist of a series of panel discussions about a number of hot-button issues in the state including conservation, higher education and common core.

I’ll be on the panel discussing state finances from 2-3pm. My fellow panelists will be Director of the Office of Management and Budget Pam Sharp, Lance Gaebe from the Department of Trust Lands, and Brent Bogar from Jadestone Consulting.

Given the makeup of the panel, I suspect we’ll be talking a lot about the amount of money North Dakotas has locked up in its various trust funds. I have some interesting thoughts on that front that I haven’t written or spoken about yet, so I’m looking forward to adding them to the panel discussion.

You can see the full agenda for the event here, and you can register to attend here.

The event isn’t free to the public, unfortunately. Chamber of Commerce members will need to pay $50 to get in. Non-members will need to pay $75.

I hope some of you readers can make it.
